Who we are
Magni Fitness LTD ("Magni Fitness", "we") is a small group personal training business based at Hop Drying Building 1, Forstal Farm Business Park, TN3 8AG. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. If you have any questions, email us at management@magnifitness.co.uk.
What we collect
When you book a free assessment or request the Trial, we collect the name, email address, and phone number you enter in the form, along with any preferred day, time, or start week you tell us. We may also collect information about how you arrived at our website, including the source, medium, campaign, advertisement or link that referred you, and the first page you visited. We do not collect payment details on this website — Trial and membership payments are taken separately, by phone or through our booking platform.
Why we collect it
We use your name, email address, and phone number to arrange your assessment or Trial, confirm your booking, answer any questions you raise, and follow up on your enquiry. We may also send you occasional updates about our memberships, services, and offers, as stated on the booking form when you submit it. We do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Our lawful basis
We process your details because it's necessary to respond to the enquiry you've made — arranging your assessment or Trial, confirming your booking, and following up (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). The booking form also tells you that we may send occasional updates about our memberships, services, and offers. If you'd rather not receive these, you can tell us at any time by emailing management@magnifitness.co.uk, or by using the unsubscribe link included in any such email.
The providers we use
We use MailerLite to keep a record of your enquiry and to send any updates described above, and Resend to send our own team an internal notification when you submit a booking form, so a coach can get in touch quickly. These providers may process your name, email address, phone number and information about how you found us on our behalf, and may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. You can read their privacy terms at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy and resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for 12 months from your enquiry, in case you want to follow up or decide to book later. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time — see below.
Marketing emails
Any updates we send about our memberships, services, and offers will include a clear way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by emailing management@magnifitness.co.uk, and we'll stop straight away.
Deleting your data and your other rights
You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing management@magnifitness.co.uk. We will do this within one month. Under UK GDPR you also have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
We are a small gym, and we need to know what actually brings people to us — so we can spend our time and money on the things that work. Two tools help us do that: Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram. Both set cookies in your browser (_ga, _ga_<id> and _fbp) which give your browser a random ID so your visit can be counted.
What they record is the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level, worked out from your IP address), your device and browser, and how you got here — a search, a social post, a link. Analytics data does not directly identify you to us. Separately, when you submit a booking form, we may record information about how you found us — such as the search, advertisement, social post, referral or link that brought you to our website — and associate that information with your enquiry so we can understand which marketing activities are effective. Google and Meta process it on our behalf, and may do so outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Their terms are at policies.google.com/privacy and facebook.com/privacy/policy.
One thing worth knowing about the Meta Pixel specifically: if you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta can match your visit to your account and use it to show you our adverts again later. That is more than simply counting visitors, which is why we would rather tell you plainly than bury it.
We do not show a cookie banner, so these are set when you arrive rather than after you agree. If you would rather not be included, you have several options and all of them work: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse privately, install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, adjust your Meta ad settings, or simply email us at management@magnifitness.co.uk and tell us to stop. Nothing on this site breaks if you opt out, and it makes no difference to how we treat you as a member.
Our location section links out to Google Maps instead of embedding it, so no third-party map cookies are set unless you choose to open the map in Google, at which point Google's own privacy terms apply.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
